La Salle Institute of Governance conducts third Virtual Knowledge Workshop on the citizen monitoring of the 2022 Elections

Titled “Securing the Filipino Vote: Citizen Monitoring of the 2022 Elections,” LSIG’s third virtual knowledge workshop tackled possible solutions and ways to reinforce active citizen monitoring of the entire electoral process through a panel discussion featuring the National Chairperson of Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV), Ms. Myla C. Villanueva, and the Secretary-General of National Citizens' Movement for Free Elections (NAMFREL), Mr. Eric Alvia. Representatives from local and national organizations that have been involved or will be involved in the elections joined the online workshop.

The third virtual knowledge workshop is organized in partnership with National Citizens’ Movement for Free Elections (NAMFREL), Initiatives for Dialogue and Empowerment through Alternative Legal Services (IDEALS, Inc.), and Caucus of Development NGO Networks (CODE-NGO)

La Salle Institute of Governance conducts second Virtual Knowledge Workshop on the role of the Filipino youth in the 2022 Elections

For its second virtual knowledge workshop on strengthening citizen participation in the 2022 elections during the time of COVID-19 pandemic and other challenges, LSIG engaged youth leaders and youth-based organizations to explore potential areas of cooperation, collaboration, and networking among the Filipino youth. The workshop encouraged their participation in the electoral processes through panel discussions highlighting the vital role of the youth in nation-building.

The workshop was organized in partnership with the Ateneo School of Government and The Asia Foundation, through the YouthLed PH project.

The La Salle Institute of Governance (LSIG) welcomed 2021 by launching a virtual knowledge workshop series that aims to strengthen citizen participation in the 2022 elections in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic and other challenges. With the theme “The 2020 Elections and the Pandemic: Emerging Policy Issues and Challenges,” the workshop gathered representatives from the academe and research community to discuss important policy issues on elections and political participation in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic.


The first virtual knowledge workshop is in partnership with the Ateneo School of Government, through the Ateneo Policy Center, and the Philippine Society for Public Administration (PSPA).
