DLSU Institute of Governance collaborates with the UN on digital and data-driven local governance.

The DLSU Institute of Governance in partnership with the United Nations Asian and Pacific Training Centre for Information and Communication Technoglogy for Development (UNAPCICT) and with the support of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP) conducted a Training of Trainers on Digital Local Governance last 24-26 September 2019 in De La Salle University, Manila.

The Training of Trainers strengthened the capacities of local trainers to deliver training on digital development, social media and data-driven governance for local government officials. It brought together local resource persons from university-based training providers on local governance in the country and provided a platform for the exchange of experiences on effective capacity building support for local governments.

Representatives of the following institutions participated in the training programme: Ateneo De Davao University, Ateneo De Naga University, Xavier University, Holy Name University, Central Philippine University, De La Salle University, Development Academy of the Philippines, the Department of Information and Communications Technology, Union of Local Authorities of the Philippines, and the Philippine Partnership for the Development of Human Resources in Rural Areas.
