DLSU-JRIG takes oath as Board Member of the LoGoTRI-PhilNet

The DLSU Jesse M. Robredo Institute of Governance (DLSU-JRIG) participated in the ceremonial oath-taking of the current Board of Directors of the Local Governance Training and Research Institutes-Philippines Network (LoGoTRI-PhilNet) last 10 June 2019 at the Gerry Roxas Foundation Training Center in Quezon City. The LoGoTRI-PhilNet is a consortium of over eighty (80) Philippine knowledge institutions - universities, colleges, think-tanks, and non-government organizations which are accredited to deliver capacity building programs and research services to local government units and civil society organizations. The DLSU-JRIG was elected to the BoD last April 2019. The Institute served as President of the LoGoTRI-PhilNet Board from 2016 to 2019. The DLSU-JRIG sees the LoGoTRI-PhilNet as a strategic venue for promoting evidence-based policy development and data-driven local governance in the country.

The members of the Board include the following: Social Development Research Center - De La Salle Unviersity -serves as President, DLSU-JRIG, Gerry Roxas Foundation, Ateneo de Naga University, Holy Name University, Father Saturnino Urios University, Western Palawan University, Tanggol Kalikasan, Eastern Samar State University, and Misamis University. The Local Government Academy of the Department of Interior of Local Government (DILG) serves as the Secretariat.

The oath-taking ceremony was led by Undersecretary Marivel Sacendoncillo of the DILG and Ms. Judy Araneta Roxas of the Gerry Roxas Foundation.
