The La Salle Institute of Governance is currently looking for candidates for the following positions:


Media Engagement Specialist

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a media engagement strategy and protocol (manual) for the Institute;

  • Enhance traditional media and social media engagement of the Institute’s programs, projects, and activities;

  • Network with media organizations about the Institute’s programs, projects, and activities;

  • Conduct media engagement activities for the Institute: writing and submission of press releases; invitation of media organizations to cover events; management of the Institute’s social media accounts; and among others;

  • Collaborate with the Communication Specialist of the Institute in enhancing the Institute’s communication impact and media engagement;

  • Collaborate with the Project Directors and Managers of the Institute; and

  • Report to the JRIG Director.

Qualifications:

  • Over 5 years of communications experience in one or more of the following disciplines: public relations, media relations, or corporate communications;

  • Strong relationships with national and local media and industry bodies;

  • Experience in proactive and reactive media relations, and crisis management;

  • Strong, creative thinker with the ability to present, develop and implement new and innovative ideas;

  • Preferably a graduate of Development Communication, Mass Communication, Communication Arts, Marketing or other related course.  Graduate of relevant Master’s Degree or with Master’s Degree units is an advantage.


Communication Specialist

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Develop, design, and implement a communication strategy for the Institute;

  • Develop and implement branding and marking protocols of the Institute;

  • Enhance branding and marking strategy of the Institute;

  • Collaborate with the Media Engagement Specialist in enhancing the Institute’s communication impact and media engagement;

  • Collaborate with the Project Directors and Managers of the Institute; and

  • Report to the JRIG Director.

Qualifications:

  • Over 5 years of communications experience in one or more of the following disciplines: public relations, media relations, or corporate communications;

  • Ability to develop and apply communication strategies across traditional and electronic platforms;

  • Experience in developing compelling content and managing media engagement;

  • Strong written and verbal communications skills;

  • Preferably a graduate of Development Communication, Mass Communication, Communication Arts, Marketing or other related course.  Graduate of relevant Master’s Degree or with Master’s Degree units is an advantage.
